REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the front seat SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

2. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

8. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

9. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector and disengage the 2 clamps.

(b) Remove the 4 springs.

(c) Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

(d) Disconnect the connector.

(e) Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster assembly.

(f) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the bush from the seat frame.

10. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Remove the 2 springs.

(b) Detach the 6 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

(d) Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster assembly.

(e) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the bush from the seat frame.
